Quattro Angeli Brewing

Quattro Angeli Brewing

Christopher Bolcato

I'm a full time father, husband and travelling scientist with a passion for homebrewing. I absolutely love the art, science and creativity that come with it. I've been brewing on and off since 2006 when I was first introduced to it during a company-sponsored contest at my first job in the biopharmaceutical industry. Each year, I try to delve deeper into learning more advanced techniques. The local clubs have been a great way to interact with others in the community. Folks have been super helpful and I've met some wonderful new friends. The opportunities to get feedback from fellow homebrewers as well as local professional brewers have helped me to heighten both my skills as well as my palate. This will be my fifth time serving at BUAC and I hope to be bringing more exciting beers every year to this event. You may have seen us before as Bruxedo Brewing. We have recently changed our name to Quattro Angeli to honor both our heritage and our children. My goal is to take classic styles and do interesting tweaks to create something new and exciting. I have a great appreciation (well, obsession maybe) for wild and sour ales, so a lot of my brews are focused on recreating these challenging beer styles at home with a flare for fresh and unique ingredients. The efforts of BUAC are near and dear to me and my family. My wife Christina lost her cousin to Cystic Fibrosis, and her brother has twin eight-year-old boys with CF. We are proud to join the fight to find a cure for this debilitating disease. As both a research scientist and homebrewer, I am honored to belong to this organization that is raising money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.
